Widowed in Their 20s, Couple Finds Love Again

When I read this story, I knew I had to blog about it.  The faith of these two individuals is such an encouragement.  Read for yourself...

When Jordan Rice saw Jessica Moreland's wedding photo posted to her blog, "One Day at a Time," he was moved not only by her "raw, wild smile" but the tragedy she had endured.
Jessica's husband Jarronn was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2009, just two and a half months after their wedding.
Jordan, too, had been widowed in his 20s and also blogged. He lost his wife Danielle to a rare heart sarcoma in 2011, a little more than two years after they were married.

Mutual friends suggested Jordan, a lawyer turned New York City pastor, and Jessica, a marketing specialist from Washington, D.C., meet because both had shared overwhelming grief at such a young age.
"Jordan and I talked about this the first time we met -- never feeling like we could be excited about a person again," said Jessica, now 30.
"We knew we would meet someone, but it would never be the same, and nothing could reach the pinnacle that it was before."
But on June 22, they married in a simple ceremony in Baltimore that friends say even included the families of their late spouses and brought all to tears.
"There wasn't a dry eye in the room, even the waiters," said the bride, who is now 30 and Jessica Rice. "I liken it to being a parent," she told ABCNews.com. "You love a child to death, but when you have a second child, you don't love them less."

The couple left this week for a honeymoon in Italy....

Nasha + Wendell: Port Royal ~ E Session ~

**New Feature: E-Sessions**

I love Engagement Sessions because you get the opportunity to see the personality of the future bride and groom and get a glimpse into their world.

Let me Introduce our first E-Session segment.  Nasha and Wendell are a cute couple with a romantic beach themed engagement session from one of my favorite photographers Ramesh Newell Photography.
The Bride: Nasha Johnson
The Groom: Wendell Francis
The Location: Palisades, Port Royal (Jamaica West Indies)
Photography: Ramesh Newell Photography

The Meeting ….

(Nasha) We knew each other from we were kids but for some reason we never used to communicate with each other even though we lived in the same area all our lives! Then he became my teacher ( as he was 2 yrs ahead of me in school) and we exchanged words...one time I lost my thesis the night before it was due (thanks to floppy disks -_-) and he saved me! He stayed with me in the school lab until I finished it! That was so very sweet of him.

(Wendell) Thanks to blackberry messenger Me and Nasha would ping for hours after school and work ....it felt as if she was right there with me. She quickly became the one I can run to, she is my bestie, my same, the one I will be spending my life with.

The Proposal ….
It was a few hours before Nasha's birthday and every year when everyone was wishing others happy new year she would get happy birthday too but January 1st 2011 was a little different . It was a minute to midnight and the sermon was still being preached, Wendell knowing that his pastor was not going to stop until after Midnight asked me to step outside for a little while. We eventually went outside the church and Wendell started breaking the ice with the most touching speech that would wow anyone! Nasha saw him go into his pocket and came up with a ring just like the one in Smallville! OMG!(We are Huge Smallville fans.... he had it specially made) ... Wendell went down on one knee and popped the question as soon as everyone was shouting happy new year and fireworks were in the happening in the town, Nasha was so surprised she started crying and with tears flooding her cheeks she said "YES!"
