I guess it's true what they say...find something you love and you'll never work a day in your life ..... well kinda true...cause it's still alot of work but the crazy part is...I LOVE IT!!

Everything is moving so rapidly and positively...I'm actually hesitant about putting ads up...not because I'm scared but because I believe it will be a flood!!! I'm that confident in what I do...I was made for this!!!!

Oh Shoes!!!

I love shoes....with that said.....you may see one or two (or 10) posts about shoes here....with regards to weddings or other spectacular events of course!!!
I loved the new trend of wearing colored shoes under your wedding dress....because I've always wondered:

"WHY AM I GOING TO SPEND MONEY ON SHOES I WILL ONLY WEAR ONCE THAT NO ONE WILL EVER SEE UNDER MY DRESS??"

I made up my mind that I would wear whatever I found that was cute and to my liking....
but NOW I hate the trend because EVERYONE is doing it (I'm a rebel against trends...I love uniqueness)
Sooooo I have no other choice but to look for shoes that aren't pink or blue (Darn you Carrie Bradshaw)

Going To the Chapel...

Currently I'm coordinating the wedding of a couple who is very dear to my heart. From The business aspect this wedding is making me see what I'm worth...and its a lot (lol) The couple got engaged in March and will be getting married in July....their love is real so they figured Why Wait?? So we've had to put a year of planning into 3 months...and I must say its coming along beautifully!!! This wedding is like my child...I've been a part of it from the beginning, watching it grow and I can't wait to see it all come together....I think I have more butterflies than the bride and groom!!!!!!!!! Every night as I drift off to sleep I go over the plan for the big day...mapping out my route from the hotel to the church to the reception hall...

Yep, the wedding and the reception are in two different locations....I like this because it goes back to the tradition of having the wedding at the church and then going to the reception hall.....I know, I know....hardly anyone does that anymore but i love the idea of the bride and groom getting in the limo together for a ride as the anxiety settles and the reality of what just took place sinks in....plus...its kinda nostalgic for me...the countless weddings I've been to or been in when I was growing up!! I enjoyed the hustle and bustle of everyone packing up in cars...hoping you had the correct address (B.G.P.S---before GPS days)

...and at cocktail hour everyone talks about what route they took....lolol. I can't wait to see the caravan of cars pulling out with one destination in mind...this time I will be leading the pack as the Event Directress!!! (Wink-Wink)

Savvy, Chic, Sassy, Confident, Efficient Event Designer Extraordinaire, (cue the trumpets)….my voice changed, my ZERO tolerance for inefficiency was raised, I was focused….and there…in the midst of planning…organizing…delegating….creating….

“MOJA”

was born…well she’s was always there…buried underneath piles of 10-page papers, an overdue thesis, 50 pound text books, worry and fear about passing a class, and paying back my student loan…but after every event I got a glimpse of her and she wanted to be free…

I did my first DAY OF COORDINATION for a good friend…and it was like I had done it for years…I was moving and shaking things up…I was in my element…In seconds I was on familiar terms with the limo driver, the pastor, the venue maître d’, I was all…“Hello Mr. Florist…you forgot the flower girls’ basket and I need it NOW” and what was even crazier was the way everyone looked to me to handle everything…I LOVED IT… But my mission was making sure that the Bride and Groom were happy and they were!!!!
